REPORTS

MARCH 2010 | APRIL 2010 | MAY 2010 | JUNE 2010
March 29 -- Wind, rain and high tides today, a good day to tighten up the gear and tackle boxes. Bass and blues are still being caught in the outflow of oyster creek. The past two cold nights have slowed things down a bit but this weekend with temps in the 70s everything should be back in action. Winter flounder are being caught around the Causeway bridge, West Creek and also in Barnegat around the BI buoy, they've been hitting bloodworms. (9:43 pb)

March 27 -- Stripers and small bluefish being caught in oyster creek, saw a nice keeper being carried to a truck last nite. Stripers have been hitting on plugs, blood worms and clams. Couple winter flounder are starting to be caught, we have clam chum, clams and blood worms in stock. Perch fishing in the lagoons and back bays is doing well, the bait of choice has been grass shrimp and small minnows. (7:39 pb)

March 25 -- A couple stripers were caught under the Causeway the past couple evenings & West Creek Dock Road is still producing a few stripers and perch. Graveling Point has definitely been the most consistent as far as catching keepers & throwbacks. Haven't heard much on the winter flounder scene ... a few trying with only a few being caught. Beautiful start to today, light wind & early out going tide. (06:30 at)

A couple winter flounder were caught near the Causeway, but very few people targeting them. Perch fishing in Mill Creek was so-so, a few ... no big numbers yet. (06:50 at)
