November 28 -- A couple guys in this morning that were in yesterday morning to grab more clam & bunker. Said they had a good day on the surf and going back for more. Right now we have a 20mph wind out of the west with gusts up to 38mph. Most likely going to be a tough jigging / trolling day with that wind. The surf looks like the safe bet. (06:20 pb)

November 27-- Few people in to try the surf. The jigging off LBI today was slow. A lot of gannets looking & diving, but the fish didn't want to put it together. A few bass & blues jigged & trolled off Brant Beach & North Beach. Joe Taminini (photo) jigged a 12 lb striper off North Beach along with a 10 lb blue. (17:00 at)

November 18 -- Something different ... east winds at 20. Anyway, some big blues hit the beach yesterday along with some stripers in the teens. First sign of life after the bad NE. Bay fishing has slowed a bit, guys clamming in the bay had a couple fish, smaller than the fish last week. Carolyn Ann III, out of Barnegat Light, is sailing for tautog Wednesday thru Sunday. Blackfishing has been excellent & now the limit is six fish per person. Go to "Links" for info on Carolyn Ann. (05:50 at)

November 16 -- No good reports from the surf except that it has finally calmed down. A report of some small stripers & doggies on the Harvey Cedars Lump. Waiting to hear back from some of the guys that took clams today ... so far no bay boat reports. Fresh bunker, live eels, spots & green crabs in stock. (15:00 at)

November 8 -- The bass & blue bite on the troll in 50 to 60 feet of water just north of Barnegat Inlet has been very consistent. Bob Bertoli (photo) boated his first striper ever - 15 1/2 lb -- 35" - trolling a silver bunker spoon two miles north of Barnegat Inlet in 58' of water yesterday. Bob also had a couple blues up to eight pounds. (05:00 at) Great bite going on in the Holgate area, on both the bay and ocean side. Fish are hitting a variety of baits with bunker & eels probably doing the best. A great birthday present for Joe Cunningham Sr (photo) , who just celebrated his 70th yesterday, boated a 30 pound - 42 inch striper fishing with his son Joe along Holgate. They had several fish and all on bunker chunks. (13:45 at)

November 6 -- Very chilly start today ... temp 41 with wind out of the NW at 15. Boats trolled up blues & bass yesterday 2 miles out of Barnegat Inlet in 50' of water. Also some fish were jigged closer to the beach off Island Beach. A decent clam bite was had yesterday morning on the out going tide in Beach Haven Inlet. A lot of 10 to 15 pound fish. Surf was kind of quiet . . . hopefully more action there today. Fresh bunker & clams in stock. (05:30 at)

Quite a few boats out today because of election day & schools are out ... hope for some good reports later today. Flat calm this morning ... a light southerly breeze now, but it is suppose to blow hard out of the west later. Plenty of fresh bunker & clam in stock along with live spot. (10:30 at)
